In this bench type we have used nothing other than Pickle Wood to create this very uniquely grained bench. This bench is a high back bench with a slightly angled back rest for comfort. This bench was originally constructed as an outdoor low maintenance park bench but would look good in any backyard or garden. Due to the grain in the wood used this bench type is very beautiful and one-of-a-kind. As far as structural integrity the whole bench is mounted on three inch thick supports and is likely to be able to support nearly any human weight. We have only tested it with about 525lbs but even at that had absolutely no give in the wood, so needless to say it is very sound design.
