In this table type we have made an interesting combination between using Hand-Hewn Sleeper Middles for the table top and using Hand-Hewn Timbers for the base. This intriguing style originated as an experiment that came out all to well. The structure is the same as many old style tables but the Sleeper Middle top gives it a new flare. The top of the table is 3 inches thick and capable of supporting a huge amount of weight. Furthermore a marine varnish was put of top (same varnish used on marine equipment) making it even stronger and water-proof, even so far as it could be used as outdoor furniture if desired. In the pictures seen here we used a backdrop that also had a rustic style flooring to show how the two seem to compliment each other so well.
